A series of fires ravaged Spokane yesterday and today – to say it’s devastating is an understatement. As I’m writing this, the Fairview fire has burned 1056 acres, the Autumn Lane fire has taken 3, 347 acres, and the Old Trails fire has burned 3619 acres. The OT fire has taken 640+ structures, AL 150+ and and amount I don’t know yet from FV. Probably 1000 structures when all is said and done.
People need help, so here’s a list I’m releasing of what I find out as I find it out.’ Feel free to reach out and LMK if you or someone else has more to add to the list.

Second Harvest Inland Northwest will be accepting non-perishables today, Sunday, Aug. 2, from 2 – 5 p.m. at 1234 E Front Ave. They are also accepting donations tomorrow, Monday, Aug. 3, from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Catholic Charities Eastern Washington has set up an emergency fund to help support individuals and families. Your donation will help our Emergency Response team provide essential items, housing, counseling, support, and short/long term assistance to those impacted by this devastating fire.

YMCA opens facilities for evacuees
The YMCA of the Inland Northwest is opening all local branches to evacuees who need showers or a temporary place to rest. A valid photo ID is required for access.The following locations are participating:

Spokesman Review says Queen of Sheba Ethiopian Cuisine, Feast World Kitchen (pick up at pick up at First Presbyterian Church), and Nuestras Raices Community Center, are offering free meals.

- Partners Inland Northwest: 10814 E Broadway – food, clothing and diaper bank
- Flatstick Pub: 618 W Main Ave, Spokane, WA 99201 – free pizza, mini golf and Duffleboard
- Garland Theater: diapers, food, toiletries, blankets, clothing, pet supplies and more – 924 West Garland Avenue
- Spokane Public School – free, emergency drop-in camp for children to assist Nine Mile Falls, Mead, and Spokane Public Schools families impacted by fires on Monday, Aug. 3, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Shadle Park High School. Ages 4 and older are welcome
- also No-Li Brewhouse will be donating 100% Beer Campus revenue to the fire recovery until it hits like 50K
Spokanimal is offering free support for your pets and displaced animals.

Spokane Convention Center is a shelter as well, run by Red Cross. If you have an RV, Spokane County Fair and Expo Center has opened their RV area to you.
